GetTok – Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the GetTok Android app ("GetTok", "the app") handles. GetTok is published by R&F Tech Solutions. If you have questions, contact us at farooqahmad01995@gmail.com.

No account, no personal profile

GetTok does not ask you to sign up or log in, and we do not run servers that collect or store information about you.

Information stored only on your device

• Download history and settings (titles, creator names, thumbnails, file locations, your language and preferences) are kept in a local database on your phone. They never leave your device. You can erase them at any time in Settings → Clear downloads, or by uninstalling the app.
• Downloaded files are saved in the app's storage and, if you keep "Save to gallery" on, in a "GetTok" album in your photo library.

Links you choose to download

When you paste or copy a video link, GetTok sends that link to a third-party link-resolving service (tikwm.com) to find the downloadable file, and then downloads the file from the video host. Only the link is sent; we do not attach any identifier of you or your device. These services receive your IP address as part of any normal internet request and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Update check

On launch, the app reads a small public file from GitHub to see whether a newer version is required. No personal information is sent.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

GetTok shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and improve its services, Google may collect and process:

• your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers,
• approximate location derived from your IP address,
• information about your interactions with ads and the app,
• diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data.

Google's use of this data is described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. On any Android device you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path depends on your device).

Permissions

• Internet: to look up links, download files and show ads.
• Photos and videos: only to save downloaded videos and photos to your gallery when you choose to.
• Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob as described above.

Children

GetTok is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed for them. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

All network requests made by the app use encrypted HTTPS connections.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
